$0.00

This introductory course outlines what the Victorian Women’s Health Atlas has to offer, and how it can be used to inform policy, planning, advocacy and emerging priorities regarding women’s health and gender equality.

Introduction to the Women’s Health Atlas

The Victorian Women’s Health Atlas is an interactive online platform that maps sex-disaggregated data for key health indicators for every Local Government Area (LGA) to show the state of women’s health and equality across Victoria.

The Atlas was developed by Women’s Health Victoria in collaboration with Sexual Health Victoria and the Victorian Women’s Health Services. Data available on the Atlas comes from a range of external sources including the Department of Health, Crimes Statistics Agency and Victorian Cancer Registry.

It is a comprehensive resource that empowers the women’s health sector, Victorian Government, local government, and anyone with an interest in understanding how gender impacts health outcomes.  It provides the insights necessary to support effective policy development, service planning, health promotion, research and advocacy relating to women’s health and gender equality.

On completion of this course you will have acquired introductory knowledge about:
